Anne Arundel County Opportunities
Anne Arundel County Food Bank - REGISTRATION FULL. Provides necessities such as food, toiletries, clothing, furniture and appliances. Volunteers will help with painting. Located in Crownsville.
Arundel House of Hope - REGISTRATION FULL. Provides emergency, transitional and permanent housing, and case management to the homeless. Volunteers will prepare and serve lunch to guests and residents. Located in Glen Burnie.
The Light House - REGISTRATION FULL. A homeless prevention support center. Volunteers will serve lunch. Located in Annapolis.
Omni House - Helps adults with mental illnesses live in the community and achieve their goals, get jobs and go back to school. Volunteers will help with painting. Located in Fort Meade.
Sarah's House - REGISTRATION FULL. Emergency shelter and transitional housing for families in need. Volunteers will serve lunch and tend to flowerbeds. Located in Fort Meade.
Baltimore County Opportunities
Baltimore Orchard Project - REGISTRATION FULL. Helping Baltimore grow fruit trees, glean the bounty and donate the fruit. Volunteers will harvest apples to distribute to food pantries. Located in Pikesville.
Creative Kids - REGISTRATION FULL. Free aftercare program for children. Volunteers will provide homework help to school-age kids. Located in Cockeysville.
Dundalk Elementary School - REGISTRATION FULL. Volunteers will read to and complete an activity with first grade students. Located in Dundalk.
First Fruits Farms - Provides food to the homeless in our region. Volunteers will harvest potatoes. Located in Freeland.
Gather Baltimore - REGISTRATION FULL. Collects unsold vegetables from downton area for redistribution to local meal programs.
Volunteers will gather surplus produce from farm fields. Located in Essex.
Logan Elementary School - REGISTRATION FULL. Volunteers will read to and complete an activity with first grade students. Located in Dundalk.
Marian House - REGISTRATION FULL. Transitional and permanent housing for women overcoming adversity. Volunteers will help with organizing. Located in Baltimore.
Maryland Food Bank - REGISTRATION FULL. Nurtures the belief that together we can improve the lives of Marylanders by ending hunger. Volunteers will sort and pack food before it is distributed. Located in Baltimore.
Night of Peace Family Shelter - Emergency shelter that provides meals and case management. Volunteers will help with organizing. Located in Windsor Mill.
PACT - Helping Children with Special Needs - REGISTRATION FULL. Specialized child care for children with complex medical needs. Volunteers will organize and safety check the playroom and an activity wall. Located in Windsor Mill.
Baltimore City Opportunities
Episcopal Community Services - Provides emergency food to neighborhood residents. Volunteers will improve the food pantry by hanging shelves and reorganizing. Located in Baltimore.
Franciscan Center - Serves meals and offers counseling and clothing to those facing poverty. Volunteers will serve dinner. Located in Baltimore.
Govans Ecumenical Development Corporation (GEDCO) - REGISTRATION FULL. Provides affordable housing and support services. Volunteers will organize and paint. Located in Baltimore.
Meals on Wheels - REGISTRATION FULL. Delivers nutritious meals to homebound seniors. Volunteers will help pack meals. Located in Baltimore.
Moveable Feast - REGISTRATION FULL. Provides food and nutritional counseling to homebound people living with life threatening conditions. Volunteers will help with food preparation. Located in Baltimore.
My Sister's Place Women's Center - REGISTRATION FULL. Day shelter for women and children. Volunteers will prepare and serve breakfast. Located in Baltimore.
Our Daily Bread Employment Center - REGISTRATION FULL. Volunteers will serve lunch in the soup kitchen. Located in Baltimore.
Paul's Place - REGISTRATION FULL. Offers programs that strengthen individuals and families, fostering hope, dignity and growth. Volunteers will serve meals, work in the marketplace and sort donations. Located in Baltimore.
St. Vincent de Paul Beans and Bread Program - REGISTRATION FULL. Day resource center for the homeless. Volunteers will serve meals. Located in Baltimore.
Weinberg Housing and Resource Center - Provides temporary overnight housing, case management and resource referrals to people living in poverty. Volunteers will serve dinner. Located in Baltimore.
Carroll County Opportunities
Human Services Programs of Carroll County - REGISTRATION FULL. Fights poverty through 20+ programs, including energy assistance, shelters and workforce development. Volunteers will work in the community garden. Located in Westminster.
Westminster Rescue Mission - Drug and alcohol recovery center for men. Volunteers will clear brush and landscape by the river/picnic area. Located in Westminster.
Harford County Opportunities
Boys and Girls Club (Aberdeen) - Provides a safe environment where kids can have fun and learn. Volunteers will assist with homework, serve dinner and do activites in the gym.
Boys and Girls Club (Bel Air) - REGISTRATION FULL. Volunteers will make crafts to decorate for the annual Halloween party.
Boys and Girls Club (Edgewood) - Volunteers will complete a fall-related activity with kids for the harvest celebration.
Habitat for Humanity Susquehanna - REGISTRATION FULL. Creates homeownership opportunities by building, renovating and repairing homes. Volunteers will work on building or renovating a home. Location TBD.
Harford Family House - REGISTRATION FULL. Provides housing, resources and support services to help homeless families transition to permanent housing. Volunteers will paint, tend to gardens and organize apartments for move-in. Located in Aberdeen.
Windsor Valley Boys and Girls Club (Edgewood) - REGISTRATION FULL. Provides a safe environment where kids can have fun and learn. Volunteers will complete an activity with children. Located in Edgewood.
Howard County Opportunities
Community Action Council of Howard County - Food Bank - REGISTRATION FULL. Volunteers will sort and stock food. Located in Columbia.
