Poverty is a critical issue in our community - one that is at the root of many problems. Using a collective impact approach, UWCM is sharply focused on programs that bring financial stability, good health and self-sufficiency to people facing poverty in Baltimore City and Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Harford and Howard counties. We fund programs that help with the basics like housing, food and health care, as well as supportive services like employment training and financial literacy that provide pathways out of poverty.
